Happy 3/7 everyone.

Even before we were offered the Gin Blossoms tour this past February, we had been working on an EP of songs from the year 1994. Now 25 years in the past, ’94 was not only a monumental year for music, but for all forms of entertainment. In fact, did you know that Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and Jurassic Park were all in theaters at the same time that year? Yeah, pretty wild. The first song that we’re releasing from the EP is “Found Out About You” by the Gin Blossoms. Below, you’ll find a video that was put together by our good friend Prez (Nick Prezioso), who came out with us for a few dates on the tour. On the last 3 shows of the tour, we even performed the song during the Gin Blossoms’ VIP event with Robin Wilson on vocals. He said to us, “I hate to break this to you guys, but this song is actually from 1992”. Well, that might be true, but the song hit it’s Billboard peak in February of 1994, making this song a quintessential ’94 jam in our eyes!

We hope that you’ll help us celebrate 3/7 by spreading this cover all over social media. We’re very excited to share the rest of the songs that we did for the EP, which we’ll be releasing one at a time over the course of the next few months. This song will be available on all the streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) in a few days, but in the meantime, this YouTube is the only way to listen. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to SMASH the subscribe button on our YouTube channel, because we’ll be adding tons of content there in the coming months.

Lion has been very well-received, both among our long-time listeners and to new listeners that we’ve met along the way on several tours over the past year. The excitement of it all has us back in the lab, working on new jams. We’re also finishing up our Music Special, and gearing up for our April tour with Less Than Jake. The SONGS FROM ’94 EP is just a little somethin’ to hold you over, as we celebrate a group of songs that had an influence on us as a band! We hope you enjoy it!
